In focus

Two forms of forest beauty

The Grey Goshawk is a forest raptor with two striking colour forms: soft grey and white, or entirely white. Found in parts of northern and eastern Australia, it moves between forest cover, woodland and nearby openings. Its presence draws attention to the value of connected forests and the mature trees within them.

Where to look

Northern and eastern Australia, including Tasmania; distribution is uneven.
