An Australian sky icon

With broad wings and a distinctive wedge-shaped tail, the Wedge-tailed Eagle is one of Australia’s most recognisable birds. It rides rising air above open country and woodland, often circling high overhead. Seeing a pair sharing the sky is a memorable reminder of the space and living landscapes that sustain our largest eagle.
